The food here is very tasty. Lots of neat things it's worth stopping at if you come to Mauston it is part of the best of Mauston.

This has been a pit-stop for my family for decades. We used to travel to Duluth, MN every year to visit family and this is a great stop to refuel your vehicle and belly. Depending on which way you're going, this is either the last stop before heading onto the interstate, or your first stop after leaving the interstate. They have a full service restaurant with awesome waffles, a unique gift shop, local WI beer, a crazy little cheese shop, and even in the spirit of Wisconsin, they have a giant fiberglass cartoon mouse that's been there for DECADES. Good for tourists and truckers alike.

Do not leave gas pump unattended at the Shell in Mauston. My husband started pumping gas and ran into store for a bottle of water. Every other pump we have ever used automatically turns off when tank full. NOT HERE! Gas started pouring/spraying out of our gas tank. Staff were not surprised or sympathetic to our situation and we ended up paying for $30 of wasted gas. Use the BP across the street. We will not be frequenting Shell in the future!
