This place was most recently renovated in about 1986 and it's noticeable. The cabins aren't even cabins, they're simply buildings with old dark Wayne's coating covering every square inch on the inside.

This is a very traditional family escape from the urban heat. It's old school, old style and old decor. if you reminisce about a 1970s escape to a dude ranch in the nearby countryside this is a good fit. If you have allergies or would like luxury accommodations, this is not for you. Horse riding was fun and ranch hands were wonderful people. We decided this wasn't right for us - dog allergies in our cabin. The cabins are quite modest and a little crowded. Maybe dusty. if you can get past this, you'll have an excellent time - unfortunately, we couldn't. The manager was kind and very accommodating.

Their fancy website had me fooled, the stay was less than prime to say the least, though.

Disgusting and moldy. The cabin needed to be aired out for an hour before it could be inhabited. I found a bathroom full of mold and was not comped at all. The general manager, Lance, point blank said no when asked to reduce the price of the room to an appropriate rate upon discovering that his guest had spent the night inside of a Petri dish.

I stay at a lot of nice places around the country and this was easily top five worst. The bed had a total of 2 pillows. Not 3. Not 4.

Woodside ranch is a great place to stay. You have fun with the horses and animals. The cabins are just gorgeous. People who work here are funny and kind and do a lot so you can feel just like at home.

Was here for a quick trail ride not too long ago, and honestly, it was amazing. The lesson was amazing, she made me laugh the whole time but gave a very instructional lesson at the same time. The trail ride was amazing, the horses as well, no horses spooked, or stepped out which was amazing! There was three instructors on the ride, one in front, one behind and one on the side for if you dropped something which was amazing, trails were well kept, for the trail ride you get it is at a very good price! I recommend to everyone!

There is a herd of cats, about 1 quarter are sick with colds and, clearly, the majority of them have worms. SAD.

The ranch and trails are beautiful. But unless you're an experienced rider, stay off the horses. The horse trail was steep, covered in debris, and unfit for inexperienced riders. The horse I was on got startled and broke from the group in a wild sprint through the trees. I was thrown and suffered multiple broken ribs. The one worker that stayed behind asked me to stand, with no regard for basic neck protection. There was no medical equipment provided by any workers. Thankfully there is a great hospital nearby. Beware of the horse riding.
